Performing at John F. Kennedy Middle School in Cupertino, CA!
This was Project VOICE’s first visit to Kennedy Middle School, and it was an absolute joy. Sarah and Phil performed for the entire 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, and were delighted to meet such engaged and enthusiastic young students. Much thanks to the faculty for welcoming Project VOICE, they hope to make a return visit soon!

Performing and teaching at Chico Country Day School in Chico, CA!
Sarah and Phil started the day with a morning performance at the beautiful El Ray Movie Theater for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grader students of Chico Country Day School. Then they came over to the school and joined students in the classroom for some spoken word poetry workshops. Much thanks to Wendy for hosting Project VOICE, and to the whole Chico community for showing the team so much love.

Performing and teaching at Fremont High School in Sunnyvale, CA!
Fremont High School was one of the first schools that Project VOICE ever visited, so it’s a perfect place to start this year’s California tour! It was so great for Sarah and Phil to see old friends. Much love and gratitude to Ruben Zamora for having the team back again!

Interviewed for Wild Spice Magazine!
Sarah was excited to be interviewed by Sienna Brown for the fierce ladies of Wild Spice Magazine. Of course, she was caught off guard by some of the questions including, “When do you feel your wildest?” Sarah’s answer: “[When] a room full of young minds gets a chance to see a bi-racial young woman who is pursuing art and things that she loves… and is also able to talk about poop onstage in front of God and everyone…that feels kind of wild to me… that makes me really happy.” Read the whole interview here!
