Performing at “Write Bloody’s Poetry Honky Tonk Badonkadonk: An AWP Off-Site Event” in Seattle, WA!
Sarah was so excited to debut her new book, No Matter the Wreckage, which made her an official Write Bloody Author! She was so thrilled to perform next to the other unbelievable poets that this publishing company boasts, all performing together for one night only: Derrick Brown, Karen Finneyfrock, Buddy Wakefield, Cristin O’Keefe Aptowicz, Brendan Constantine, Jon Sands, Tara Hardy, Aaron Samuels, Mindy Nettifee, Taylor Mali, Bucky Sinister, Jeremy Radin, Stevie Edwards, Jason Bayani, Jade Sylvan, Daniel Nester, Lauren B. Zuniga, Franny Choi, Elaina Ellis, Daniel McGinn, & music from Adam Falkner! Holy smokes! As if the event couldn’t be any more special, Sarah also received an award (or a “Birdie”!) for her “Outreach” work bringing spoken word poetry to wider and wider audiences! Thank you, Derrick! Performing at the Seattle Poetry Slam in Seattle, WA!
Sarah was so thrilled to be performing at the Seattle Poetry Slam in a top-notch showcase of some of the most amazing spoken word poets from across the country! (Including Phil Kaye, Lauren Zuniga, Karen Finneyfrock, Jon Sands, Tatyana Brown, Jason Bayani, and many more!) Performing and teaching at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in New York City!
This was Project VOICE’s first visit to “Columbia Prep” and they had the most wonderful time! It was great to perform for the 5th and 6th grade, and even more fun to spend workshop time with the entire 6th grade! Much thanks to Ms. Osborn for all her help!

This was a really special show for Sarah, because her little brother got to be in the audience.
