It was a real honor for Sarah to be the featured presenter at this year’s conference, especially since the theme was “One Strong Voice: Women’s Creative Expression for Wellness and Activism”. Much thanks to the students and organizers who made it possible!

Performing and teaching at Zurich International School in Zurich, Switzerland!
Sarah and Phil spent the week working with students on three different campuses, from Middle School through High School. It was a joy to get to work with so many students, across such a wide range of ages, as well as getting to work closely with such dedicated staff and faculty. Much thanks to John Switzer and Eric, Caitlin, and Susan for all their help, not to mention all of the great teachers who the team got to work with and spend time with!

Performing in Write Bloody Publishing’s Poetry Extravaganza & Dance Party in Philadelphia, PA!
Four of the Write Bloody Publishing’s best loved poets – Derrick Brown (Strange Light), Sarah Kay (No Matter the Wreckage), Cristin O’Keefe Aptowicz (The Year of No Mistakes) and Taylor Mali (Last Time As We Are) all got to perform together under one roof in Philadelphia for the first time! And even though there was no AC and everyone almost melted, it was still a fantastic night. Much thanks to all who attended, and to those who helped organize and run the event!

Celebrating Cristin O’Keefe Aptowicz’s Book Release in Philadelphia, PA!
Sarah’s longtime mentor and best friend Cristin O’Keefe Aptowicz has been working on this passion project for ten years! And today it is finally available to the world. Dr. Mütter’s Marvels is “the mesmerizing, first-ever biography of the brilliant and eccentric physician and innovator who revolutionized surgery and founded America’s finest museum of medical oddities” and a gripping story to boot!
