Teaching Open to the Public Spoken Word Poetry Workshops in NYC!
The Sheen Center is proud to offer two open to the public workshops led by Sarah Kay and Phil Kaye. These intimate, hands-on workshops provide an opportunity for participants to build the skills and confidence to create and perform their own poetry. Employing original curriculum honed in workshop settings around the world, Sarah and Phil work with students to navigate the roadblocks of the creative process, building healthy habits to consistently create and share personal work. Appropriate for new and experienced poets alike, the workshop offers a supportive and safe environment where participants can experiment, practice, and polish their work. To ensure a hands-on environment, workshop space is limited to 30 participants. Sign up required.
5pm-7pm will be for high school students
8pm-10pm will be for adults.
