Eligible for the Oscars Shortlist!
Sarah is over the moon that one of the animated shorts she helped produce for the TED-Ed webseries “There’s a Poem for That” is in the running for the OSCARS SHORTLIST! Brendan Constantine’s poem is utterly beautiful, and the animators of this video did such an incredible job. Plus even the possibility of a poet (and friend!) getting an Oscar nomination is too exciting for words. On Tour with Pop-Up Magazine!
Sarah tried her hand at her first-ever non-fiction piece, reported and performed for Pop-Up Magazine for their “Escape” Issue! She got to join the incredible team of writers, musicians, and producers, for shows in San Francisco, Oakland, San Diego, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Washington DC, New York, Chicago, and Austin! Pop-Up Magazine is a “live” magazine, and each “issue” comes complete with longform reportage, animation, video, and a live band, in some of the grandest venues, for loyal and enthusiastic audiences. Thanks to everyone at Pop-Up, and everyone in the audiences who came out to see the show!

Sarah is making her non-fiction debut! Pop-Up Magazine is a live show that seeks to create the most entertaining version of what it feels like to read a magazine. Each show contains multiple non-fiction pieces that are performed by the journalists who wrote them (accompanied by a live band and an impressive art department).
