Performing and Teaching at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN!
Sarah spent her afternoon teaching a workshop full of open-minded and driven writers and activists, and then spent her evening performing to a packed room! She was continually impressed by the Purdue students she met and worked with. Much gratitude to the organizers of each event, and all who participated with full hearts. Performing and Teaching at Hathaway Brown School in Shaker Heights, OH!
Sarah loves the Hathaway Brown ladies. This is her second time as a visiting teaching artist, but she was also the graduation speaker for this past year’s graduating class, and the school holds a special place in her heart. As always, she is grateful for the bold, brilliant young women who dedicate themselves fully to their writing and their community, as well as for Scott Parsons, patron saint of Hathaway Brown student writers.

Performing at St. Edward High School in Lakewood, OH!
Sarah spent the day performing for the entire high school of St. Edward High School and was surprised and delighted by how attentive and receptive the gentlemen of St. Edward were to her work. Lots of great questions and audience volunteers. Much thanks to the organizers for making the visit possible!

Performing at Upper Arlington High School in Upper Arlington, OH and Montrose Elementary in Bexley, OH!
Sarah spent the morning with IB students at Upper Arlington High School, and then zipped over to Montrose Elementary to perform and teach some workshops with the students there! Much thanks to Cynthia Ballheim and Nate Maier for maneuvering the whole thing!

Sarah made one last stop on her Georgia tour to visit students at Thomas County Central High School before heading back north. It was a short but lovely visit, and she wishes to thank Melanie Chavaux and the other organizers for making the performance possible!

Sarah and Franny continued their Georgia tour with a performance at Thomasville Center for the Arts for the students of Scott Elementary School, followed by a day of workshops full of bright young students! Much thanks to the organizers at Thomasville Center for the Arts for helping the visit happen, and to the faculty at Scott Elementary for facilitating the workshops!

Performing at Brookwood School in Thomasville, GA!
Sarah and Franny Choi made a Project VOICE visit to Brookwood School today, and were greeted with a warm welcome from a bunch of very sweet teenagers and faculty members. Much thanks to Headmaster Randy Watts for his help with making the visit possible, and to the students and staff who joined the duo for a delightful dinner after-hours!

Performing at Serenbe in Chattanoochee Hills, GA!
Sarah is honored to be an Artist in Residence for the second year in a row. Last year she used her residency time to put together the manuscript for No Matter the Wreckage, and she is so grateful for the opportunity to return to this incredible welcoming community for some quiet and restorative time. Tonight was her big open to the public show, and she was surprised and impressed by how many folks showed up to cozy up together in blankets for the outdoor event! Much thanks as always to Janice Barton, Sam Harrison, and the whole AIR board, as well as all the organizers and attendees of this event!

Performing at The Sustainia Awards Ceremony in Copenhagen, Denmark!
The Sustainia Award is an annual International Award that honors outstanding performance within sustainability. Sarah was asked to deliver an original poem on the subject of sustainability for the special occasion, alongside brilliant engineers, entrepreneurs, world leaders, and environmental innovators, in the beautiful Royal Danish Theater.
